Diamond Engineering, PLLC is a Civil Engineering and Surveying firm that has been in business since 2000. Johnny H. Denton, PE, PLS is the founding member and manager, who is licensed both as a Professional Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina. Johnny graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology in 1989. He worked for Gaston County Natural Resources while in college and before beginning his engineering career with Fox & Ritter. After spending 5 years there, he took an engineering position with the City of Gastonia. During his 10 year span with Gastonia, he became a department supervisor and was responsible for design and construction of many water and sewer lines, roadway, and sidewalk projects. He also performed planning and design on park projects such as Martha Rivers
Park.
Our firm specializes Municipal Engineering, site and subdivision planning, water and sewer design, storm water design and management, flood studies, erosion control, earthen dam design and breaching, roadway design and also improvements such as sidewalk and curb and gutter, park design and planning, and construction inspection. We feel one of the biggest advantages to our firm is the hands on methodology that we utilize.
Our principle members are the staff of the firm. Each member does designing, drawing, permit applications, testing, and inspections. We feel that being so hands own with a project reduces the chances of errors in design or construction. Diamond Engineering serves as the Town Engineer for the Town of Dallas and consults with other municipalities and government agencies.
